The BIPOC Majority,The Draft & Climate Justice... Threats To Petro-Dollars!

The petrodollar system implicates the US dollar globally accepted for oil exports. In other words, it is typically the international practice of trading oil for American dollars rather than another currency. The oil-importing nation (whichever it may be) must always pay the oil-extracting country in US dollars!

To maintain global dollar demand, Washington created the petrodollar system. The first to enter this arrangement was Saudi Arabia. The Saudis agreed to price all of their oil in U.S. dollars and even to invest some of their profits into U.S. Treasury securities. In June 2024, Saudi Arabia announced that it will cease all oil sales in US dollars, marking the end of the 50-year Petrodollar Pact signed on June 6, 1974, which expires on June 9, 2024. The decision not to renew this pact stems from Saudi Arabia's recent invitation to BRICS and its move towards dedollarization.

In April 2009 China caused a sensation by announcing that its gold reserves had increased by 76%, from 600 tons to 1,054 tonnes. For the previous six years China had been reporting to the International Monetary Fund, the compiler of official gold data, only 600 tons. This is when analysts feel the idea of BRICS began! The next year, 2010, the same thing happened with Saudi Arabia. In June 2010 the World Gold Council reported that Saudi gold reserves had increased by 126%, from 143 to 323 tonnes, in just two years. That the world's top oil exporter had made such a new commitment to gold in its foreign exchange reserves also caused a sensation. It implied a reduction of Saudi loyalty to the petrodollar. The writing was on the wall but greedy politicians and corporations ignored it.

BRICS is an intergovernmental organization comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates. Originally identified to highlight investment opportunities, the grouping evolved into a cohesive geopolitical bloc, with their governments meeting annually at formal summits and coordinating multilateral policies since 2009. In short they are buildinga BRIC wall to keep Americans out!

Over a dozen federal cases have now been filed against oil companies, seeking damages for their role in causing climate change. With one exception, the cases have been brought by states or local governments that claim they and their citizens are suffering harm from climate change. Over the last several years, big oil companies have used profits to purchase their own stock on the open market, artificially lifting share prices. Oil sold by U.S. companies is a major contributor to climate change. Twenty fossil fuel companies account for a third of the world’s carbon emissions, and six of the 20 are oil companies that do business in the U.S.

To further hinder the remaining power of the Petrodollar and the divestment from oil across the globe. Pew Research Center in 2024 found that the push is largely from Millennials and Gen Z especially to go forward with green initiatives. Moreover this support is bipartisan across the board infavor of saving the planet before profits! The new national survey by Pew Research Center, conducted April 20 to 29 among 13,749 U.S. adults, including 912 Gen Z adults, finds a majority of Americans (64%) say efforts to reduce the effects of climate change need to be prioritized today to ensure a sustainable planet for future generations, even if it means fewer resources for addressing other important problems like what billionaires get new yachts.

Meanwhile, as fears over a pending war between Russia and Ukraine built in recent weeks, some members of Generation Z have been pondering the question: “Am I going to be drafted?”Many see the new law to reinstate the draft as directly related to targeting Gen Z because of their future on Mars if it all falls apart!perspectives on a sustainability focused culture that clashes with the Baby Boomer retirees whose neglect and trust of self serving leadership caused global climate change in the first place! Gen Z hates boomers, everyone hates millennials, and no one thinks about Gen X...but they all need to come together to save their collective butts, because our leadership believes they can have a

Dissident voices emerge from historical conditions of political crisis, social disruption, and economic betrayal. Generation Z shows the most concern for the planet’s well-being and influences others to make sustainability-first buying decisions, according to new research. GenZ are people born between the nineties and the noughties – roughly spanning 1995 to 2010 – and three-quarters of them prefer to buy sustainably rather than to go for brand names. They put their money where their mouths are that makes them a threat to Petrodollars and if their is one thing Vietnam taught us is sending 18 year old kids to war shuts them up when it comes to policy and decision makers, dead voters don't vote!

The 1960's anti-war movement, and the anti-war music, that ran parallel to the increasingly large numbers of young men drafted into the Army was also rooted in broader changes that were taking place in the USA that threatened the power structure. The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963 was one of the most consequential racial justice and equality demonstrations in U.S. history and helped till the ground for future movements like emergence of Black Power as a parallel force alongside the mainstream civil rights movement occurred during the March Against Fear, a voting rights march in Mississippi in June 1966. The march originally began as a solo effort by James Meredith, who had become the first African American to attend the University of Mississippi, a.k.a. Ole Miss. Draft evasion in the Vietnam War was a common practice in the United States and in Australia especially for middle and upper class caucasians. Significant draft avoidance was taking place even before the United States became heavily involved in Vietnam.

THe draft could effectively derail the political potency of Generation Z, the 70 million young Americans born between 1997 and 2012 (aged 11-25, age of military draft 18-25). Since 2018, members of Gen Z have become fully engaged with issues like gun control, protecting the environment, sustainability and renewable energy, reproductive health, education, and racial and climate justice.

The oil and gas industry is facing strong competition finding themselves unable to attract science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) talent, with less than 20% of of STEM Millennials and Generation Zs (Gen Z) interested in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry, compared to 85% in the technology sector, 60% in life sciences and pharmaceuticals, and 50% in healthcare — according to the most recent “Workforce of the Future” survey released by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) at CERAWeek by IHS Markit.

GREEN ENERGY IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO POVERTY AND WAR THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN! POVERTY AND WAR ARE THE BACKBONES OF THE CURRENT GLOBAL ECONOMY! ONLY 10 PERCENT OF THE WORLD EMBRACING GREEN ENERGY IS NECESSARY TO POWER THE PLANET!

What changes would GEN Zers do with an abundance of free inexhaustible renewable energy?

Desalination of seawater,or Atmospheric Water generation in landlocked nations would suddenly become cost-efficient, relieving Earth's water shortages. Trash would be recycled on a massive scale, allowing for creation of building materials from textiles, and the extraction of precious trace elements such as rare earth metals, less landfills would mean less methane and carbon dioxide (CO2) would be vacuumed out of the atmosphere to slow climate change.EV transport would travel far and wide as the new paradigm would be pollution free in battery-powered vehicles. Goods and services that require electricity would become cheaper, even free. Global emissions footprint would soon be undetectable as the earth has time to heal itself.

But the main change would be abundance in terms of food, shelter, energy and a lack of reasons to go to war! The world’s poorest countries are not characterized by naive trust in capitalism, but by utter distrust, which leads to heavy government oppression to force citizens by any means to work for the upper classes to maintain their power and way of life. Socialism and capitalism are the two main economic systems used in developed countries today and both systems require workers. A green paradigm would not it would a;low the growth of freedom from poverty, hunger and work for others as a family could sustain itself easily with the tools of the green paradigm, Solar power and battery storage, Atmospheric water generation, Electric vehicles, homestead farming and aquaculture.
