Is UV Radiation Increasing To Global Extremes?

Yes, the amount of ultraviolet (UV) radiation reaching Earth's surface has increased over the past 30 years, especially in mid- and high latitudes. This increase is due to ozone depletion, which allows more harmful UVB radiation to reach the Earth's surface. UVB radiation can cause DNA damage in plants and animals, and increase the risk of skin cancer and cataracts in humans.
