New Zealand or Alaska? Which region would be less affected by the coming climate crisis? Which is the greater threat: global warming or biological warfare? How long should one plan to be able to survive with no outside help? Should a shelter have its own air supply? What was the likelihood of groundwater contamination? : “How do I maintain authority over my security force after the event?” These questions and more are being asked by the Super rich who are preparing to jump ship and hide when the apocalypse their greed incurred ravages the planet if people dont come together before its too late and stop them.
The rich now society will be hunting the ones responsible for or who most profited from killing the planet or at least the bulk of humanity. They know armed guards will be required to protect their compounds from raiders, warlords, ex soldiers as well as angry mobs. One industrialist for an oil company had already secured a dozen Navy Seals to make their way to his compound if he gave them the right cue. But how would he pay the guards once even his crypto was worthless? What would stop the guards from eventually choosing their own leader? If we look at the Fall of Rome the answer is nothing!
Some billionaires consider using special combination locks on the food supply that only they knew. Or making guards wear disciplinary collars of some kind in return for their survival. Or maybe in the case of some AI investors building robots to serve as guards and workers – if that technology is developed “in time”.
Some believe the way to get guards to exhibit loyalty in the future was to treat them like friends right now, most of us who study human nature know that won't work the globes anger will be focused on getting even and all the resources will be on treating those responsible like Wack-A-Moles. It doesn't matter how much they invest in ammo and electric fences, society will make a game out of finding them like a worldwide treasure hunt with no holds barred on the retribution. A doomsday bunkers is just what it implies a Bunker for doomsday where you will eventually die because you would rather have more money than you could spend in a lifetime than a planet that can sustain the world for its lifetime! Essentially that is what it comes down too whenever you see or hear some politician opposing Green energy, free food, clean air and water, protected forests and wildlife, protected oceans and sea life, free water generation, electric vehicles, reparations, and land grants, free medical care and shelter for the homeless. What you are seeing is eventually someone who only cares about themselves and would kill you if a real emergency of cataclysmic scale ever befell us.
These guys wrap themselves in utopian fairytales rather than real world solutions that would make the wealthy pay their fair share. Taking their cue from Tesla founder Elon Musk colonizing Mars, Palantir’s Peter Thiel reversing the ageing process, or artificial intelligence developers Sam Altman and Ray Kurzweil uploading their minds into supercomputers, they are preparing for a digital future that has less to do with making the world a better place than with transcending the human condition altogether. In short they would rather give up everything that makes them human than to see humanity prosper without unequal wealth distribution that makes them feel special. Most people don't want or need 3 mansions 20 cars or any of the extras these guys seem to devote their energy on when they arent underpaying employees. Their extreme wealth and privilege serves only to make them obsessed with insulating themselves from the very real and present danger of climate change, rising sea levels, mass migrations, global pandemics, nativist panic and resource depletion.
For them, the future of technology is about only one thing: escape from the rest of us.
These people once showered the world with madly optimistic business plans for how technology might benefit human society. Now that we have the means to give the world free energy they balk and make excuses for the price of one years worth of tax subsidies the USA gives to oil companies we could have built a solar power plant in the desert 10 years ago that would be powering half the country. But instead we spent that money on a war with people who would rather be herding sheep and goats than trying to keep their villages from being bombed by greedy foreign interest groups. Will it be Jeff Bezos migrating to space, Thiel to his New Zealand compound, or Mark Zuckerberg to his virtual metaverse? And these catastrophizing billionaires are the presumptive winners of the digital economy – the supposed champions of the survival-of-the-fittest business landscape that’s fueling most of this speculation to begin with.
But what they don't want the average consumer to figure out is that the technology they don't want you to invest in is the kind that benefits you the most! What would happen to your politico PAC coffers if their constituents suddenly got solar powered homes with a battery the size of a lawn chair that stored 4 weeks of energy for your entire 4 bedroom 2 bath household, a home heating system powered by a coil buried in your yard that also heats your water. A car you can plug in that gives you 350 miles to the charge at the cost of 2 dollars and an atmospheric water machine that can give you 200 gallons of water a day for free from the air that costs under 3 thousand dollars and has a twenty five year warranty! A television, stereo system, stove, microwave, fridge and computer that requires no electric cord but are powered by the earth's electromagnetic field! Everything I mentioned exists, right now! They are not science fictions but facts. This is the technology being oppressed and kept from you while billionaires prep to party during the suffering of your children and children's children.
