How Beta Glucan Works

We know about Beta Glucan foods like Mushrooms, Broccoli and Mangoes but Oats? Who new?

Beta glucan is often eaten to enhance heart health, as they can reduce levels of total and LDL (bad) cholesterol. Like other fiber supplements, they can also boost your fiber intake, improve blood sugar regulation, promote digestive health and regularity, and support weight management.Among these sources, barley typically has the highest beta-glucan content and oats the second highest. One and a half cups of cooked oatmeal or three packets of instant oatmeal provide 3 g of beta-glucans; 1 cup of cooked pearl barley contains approximately 2.5 g of beta-glucans.
